The Horizon Europe programme has a budget closing on €100 billion to help fund the transition to net zero. Transforming our food industry and dietary habits plays a major role in achieving those goals.

Indeed, accelerating the transition from animal-based to alternative dietary proteins – the dietary shift – is key to reducing the footprint of our food system in terms of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), energy, water and land use, and other relevant environmental impacts, and improving the health and well-being of people, animals and the planet.

GIANT LEAPS project is receiving funds under Horizon Europe to promote healthier and more plant-forward diets across Europe. Discover what we are doing to enable the transition in this "Future of Foods" podcast episode here.
