ProFuture final conference: Microalgae for the foods and feeds of the future

13-14 September 2023

Comet Louise, Brussels

Join the final conference of the EU-funded project ProFuture live in Brussels or online! You can submit posters until the 15th of July.

In 2019, the ProFuture project kicked-off with a big mission: To shape the future of microalgae proteins in Europe and harness their potential as sustainable, nutritious and healthy solutions for more resilient food systems.

Today, almost 4 years and numerous achievements later, the project is hosting its final conference. A lively agenda and expert speakers representing different stakeholder groups (industry, regulation, policy, academia,...) promise a fruitful event. Amongst others, attendees will hear about key project outcomes, the latest state of research, and future directions in microalgae research & innovation. On the second day, participants will learn about other research projects and have the chance to take part in a policy discussion about the future of alternative proteins in Europe. Plenty of networking opportunities and interactive panel discussions will leave room for exchange and open discussion.

Who should join?

Welcome to attend are all actors along the microalgae value chain, from scientists, opinion leaders, the food industry, media, educators, nutritionists and health experts to consumer organizations.

How can you join?

You can either join us live in Brussels or follow the conference online via streaming. Please note that we have limited number of seats for live attendance. Therefore, and to avoid last minute cancellations, you will be charged a small fee for live attendance at the registration stage. However, this fee will be refunded upon orderly attendance of the conference.
